Feral Hogs Impact Ground-nesting Birds

Many people are aware of the damage that feral hogs can cause to the landscape by rooting and wallowing. However, many do not know that feral hogs also pose a problem to wildlife, including ground-nesting birds such as wild turkey and northern bobwhite quail. That is why several of my colleagues and I produced this publication titled "Feral Hogs Impact Ground-nesting Birds". This publication discusses two research studies on the effect of feral hogs on ground-nesting birds. This publication can be viewed below or at the Texas AgriLife Bookstore website.
