Feral hogs are potential carriers of diseases that can be transmissible to humans, livestock, and wildlife. That is why my colleagues and I produced "Feral Hogs and Disease Concerns", this publication covers several disease that have been documented in feral hogs and precaution measures that should be taken when handling feral hogs and their meat.
