The Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service and Texas Parks and
Wildlife Department will conduct a multi-county Land Stewardship Practices for
Wild Turkey Field Day from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. May 1 at the Gus
Engeling Wildlife Management Area.
The meeting site is about 7 miles north of Tennessee Colony off
U.S. Highway 287.
“The field day is for landowners interested in managing their
properties for wildlife, particularly wild turkey,” said Truman Lamb, AgriLife
Extension agent in Anderson County.
The program and lunch are free, but an RSVP is needed by April
