Upcoming Feral Hog and Lone Star Healthy Streams Workshops in Lampasas, Giddings, and Smithville


Feral hogs and livestock can contribute to high bacteria levels in creeks and lakes that can harm recreation and impact local economies.  Two upcoming workshops provide landowners with critical information on practices that can be done to reduce the occurrence of bacterial contamination.  For livestock, that means keeping livestock out of creeks, maintaining riparian areas, and providing alternate water sources, among other practices. For feral hogs, that means getting them off the land.  Join Texas A&M AgriLife Extension at the following locations:
