Incorporating White-Tailed Deer Management on Livestock Ranches
Many folks are looking for ways to incorporate wildlife into their traditional livestock operations, especially in east Texas where many places have introduced grasses, such as bermuda, that have little wildlife value. By implementing food plots on your property, landowners can provide a highly nutritious food source for white-tailed deer and other wildlife species. Food plots do not need to take up large areas, and we only recommend putting food plots on 1-3% of the total acreage.
