Feral hogs, as many already know, are a major problem in the state of Texas. There are estimates that the feral hog population in Texas alone has reached somewhere between 1.8 and 3.4 million! With feral hogs' damaging behavior causing an estimated $52 million in damage annually to the agriculture industry, landowners need to know the best ways to rid their land of them.
On May 4, there will be a half day workshop in Kaufman County that will address feral hog behavior and ways to most effectively trap hogs on your property. In addition, there will be information about the Trinity River restoration project and Trinity Waters, a landowner organization that is committed to the people, water, and wildlife resources of the Trinity River basin.
For more info about the workshop, including how to register, read the news release from AgriLife Today.
