From an earlier post, you know that box traps are not my first choice in the battle against feral hogs. The problem with this trap is that it catches only 1 or 2 big pigs. I will grant you that sometimes litters of young pigs rush the trap and are captured. However, this is a bonus and not the norm.
Box traps do have their place in the arsenal of tools used to reduce feral hog numbers.
